I’m an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #146618) with a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Golden Gate University. Born and raised in a biracial family in Brazil, I moved to the U.S. in 2013. In my home country, I worked as a licensed therapist in the Brazilian universal healthcare system, focusing on community care, severe mental illness, and substance use. My journey through life and immigration has taught me the profound influence of culture, the importance of community, and that therapy must be adaptable to each person’s unique needs. This is why my approach is client-centered, rooted in trauma-informed care, cultural humility, and intersectionality. Informed by both my personal history of complex trauma and my professional background, I aim to help clients cultivate a sense of agency and integration through a collaborative therapeutic relationship. I’m passionate about supporting and uplifting diverse communities, including LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, immigrants, refugees, and those practicing polyamory and kink. Believing in abolitionist, decolonizing psychotherapy, I recognize that truly transformative care requires addressing systemic oppression’s effects on mental health. I offer sex-positive, culturally responsive therapy in English and Portuguese for individuals (adolescents and adults) and couples, and I’d love to support you on your journey.
